Strideout Kidz
Through our Strideout Kidz sessions we hope to encourage families to run together, to enjoy the outdoors and valuable family time together.
For the children to be able to see from a young age, the fun benefits of keeping active and looking after yourself. We hope to empower youngsters to feel confident about 'giving things a go' no matter what their ability.
Strideout Kidz are aimed at children from 8 years plus and take place every Saturday in the lovely Rivelin Valley.
Sessions offer a 4-6 week rolling programme which focus on the Fundamentals of sport, Agility, Balance and Co-ordination. Fun sessions will include an action packed warm-up activity, followed by a variation of activities focusing on different elements of running each week, from relays, out & back routes and hill reps, each session ends with a cool-down game, stretch and will be supported by a minimum of two qualified Coaches and a Run Leader. All sessions are risk assessed beforehand, giving peace of mind.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to join us for a run, but don’t under estimate the speed and competitiveness of the younger runners!
The sessions run March to December.
Each session is £2 per runner and refreshments are provided. We welcome parents to run with us free of charge.
